As Yakima Valley’s viticulture has matured over the last three decades and its winemaking prospered, many Yakima Valley wineries have gained critical acclaim. The Washington State wine industry continues to grow, it is a must to visit the Yakima Valley often, not only to taste your favorites, but to see which new wines and wineries have joined the charming Yakima Valley wine country.
With over 50 member wineries, Yakima Valley Tourism has the most winery members of any trade association in the Yakima Valley and is the fourth largest in Washington state. With more than 90 wineries and tasting rooms scattered throughout the Yakima Valley.

Wine tasting In Tri-Cities
There are about a dozen wineries in the Tri-Cities that are part of the greater Columbia Valley AVA. Most wineries listed in this section have wine tasting rooms, some offer chef inspired cuisines, and some even offer live music. Be sure to check the winery’s website for current hours of operation. There is usually a wine tasting fee from $7 – $15 that is refundable with a purchase. Plan to allow 30-45 minutes for wine tasting. :
Badger Mountain Winery, Located on 1106 Jurupa Street in Kennewick and Surrounded by 75 acres of certified organic vineyard, Badger Mountain and Powers Winery offer wine sampling in a relaxed country setting just minutes from Columbia Center Mall. Picnic area and tasting room is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Barnard Griffin Winery – Living on 878 Tulip Lane in Richland, Barnard Griffin is a premier family owned winery and one of the most award-winning wineries in the state. Features a tasting room, wine bar and eatery, large patio, and glass gallery. Tasting room hours are daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Bartholomew Winery – Resides on 421 E Columbia Dr. in Kennewick. Come see what their Columbia Valley soil tastes like. Sense the difference of Washington State wines while enjoying yourself and not taking it too seriously. They are one of the tenants of the Columbia Gardens Urban Wine & Artisan Village. The tasting room is open Thursday – Sunday from 12 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Double Canyon – At 8060 Keene Rd. in West Richland
their tasting room is an addition to their state-of-the-art winery in West Richland. The modernly-designed space features a tasting bar and table seating with intimate views of the barrel room and production area. It also includes an outdoor patio with seating, a fire pit and sweeping views of nearby wine country. Tasting room hours are Friday – Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
